Who we are

Center for Environmental Entrepreneurship Sustainability and Development CEESAD is a local non-profit, non-denominational organization created in 2026 and registered with the Government of Cameroon. CEESAD is created within the backdrop of persistent environmental and Climate Change problems in Cameroon to improve on livelihoods of the rural poor in the face of Climate Change while adapting, mitigating and improving community resilience.

Mission

To fight climate Change through community empowerment programs and sustainable natural resource management.

Vision

To achieve a very resilient community in the face of Climate Change.

Objectives

CESSAD objectives are to:

Create green jobs and sustain employment especially for youths and women.

Empower local communities to undertake actions that ensure the long-term sustainability of their natural resources and adjacent ecosystems.

Promote organic lifestyles and climate smart cultivation amongst local communities through the empowerment and support of local farmers.

Manage waste through local sensitization programs, upcycling and recycling programs.

5

Promote innovation through production of prototypes and distribution of equipment that will improve Carbon Dioxide emissions and reduce waste.

Foster value addition on agricultural products the transformation to improve income and transform livelihoods.

7

Promote scientific research including forest-participatory mapping, wildlife and agricultural programs.

Community Trainings of Forest Users in Mushroom Cultivation

CEESAD pre-selects, trains and equip local farmers with knowledge on mushroom cultivation, mushroom value chain and market outlets.

School Environmental Education

CEESDA trains primary and junior secondary school children on wildlife identification, choice of tree planting, waste sorting and management, home gardening through storytelling and field educative programs.

Water Catchments Protection

CEESAD identifies and restores degraded water catchments along the Magba- Foumban area to improve water quality and quantity.

Liquid Organic Fertilizer Fabrication

We organize field schools to train and equip local farmers on organic liquid and solid fertilizer fabrication. We are currently training and supporting

Forestry

Promotion of Non-timber Forest Products

We train and support local forest users on the sustainable harvesting and transformation of local’ non-timber forest products. We train poor farmers to transform honey wax into lotion and soap.

Wildlife

Sustainable Hunter Programs

We train and support hunters to become bee farmers thereby limiting their time and anxiety to continuously use rifles and traps to hunt protected species.

Ashu Gildas

Programs Coordinator

Ashu holds a Bachelor of Sciene in Forestry and Willdife from the University of Bamenda. He is soon defending a master of Sceince Degree in same Field.

Assistant Programs Coordinator

Lapangho has a Diploma in management from the National Cooperative College, Bamenda. He also has a five year field experience. He is an agricultural entrepreneur.

He is holder of the GCE ordinary level with a three year field experience in agriculture.

She has a diploma from the Technical college of Agriculture in Nkambe. She is into crop production with 3 years field experience in community agricultural trainings and  mobilization.
